Researching Multimedia Presentation Tools

For this assignment, Lani and I are partners. We have to do 8 topics, which are listed below:

1. Computer Displays - LCD, CRT and plasma screens, pros and cons of each. Full high definition, high definition? (Blue)
2. Digital Televisions – Plasma, LCD, LED, OLED (Blue)
3. Hand held multimedia devices ( e.g. umpc, iPod, itouch, iriver, touch screen phones)
4. Piracy and Copyright (Purple)
5. Social Networking (Purple)
6. Secondary Storage: including (Yellow)

Blu-ray Disks
DVD (standards – single layer, dual layer,) & CD
USB memory storage
7. Sound Cards (Yellow)

What to Say

Some information to include in your project about each topic could include
1. What it is ? What do we use it for?
2. How is it a part of our multimedia world?
3. Are there different types? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each type?
4. A “simple” explanation of how it works.
5. A rough indication of the cost of the device (only where a device is being researched)
6. Future directions, what is waiting around the corner, what is the next “new” technology in this area?
